Saving the Merri Creek

Ann and Bruce McGregor have been the leading lights in the successful campaign to convert the Merri Creek from a drain bordered by industrial sites such as Whelan’s Tip (photographed by Bruce McGregor in 1986)  to the attractive waterway surrounded by parks that it is today ( Kirkdale Park photographed by Bruce McGregor in 2014.)  At our April meeting the McGregors will share memories from when they first adopted the creek in the 1970s.
