The Birth of Progressive Brunswick

During the 1970s Brunswick was the site of a number of progressive initiatives which are still bearing fruit today.

Gil Freeman OAM was deeply involved in a number of these including CERES, the Sydney Rd Community School, BRUSEC and others.  Gil will talk about his experiences after our AGM.

Gil and his wife Dr Meredith Freeman were awarded the OAM in the recent King’s Birthday Honours in recognition of their work in Brunswick and also in South Gippland since their ‘retirement ‘  there 25 years ago.
